"Hello from Afar" won first place at the shorts contest. It will now be screened at the 360 | 365 George Eastman House International Film Festival in 2011.
I was cinematographer for this short, made for the 360 | 365 shorts contest.
Shot my directorial debut last Thursday. Directing is far too easy compared to every other job on set. I love it.
Yeah, it was a 3 minute short for a shorts contest. My editor already has a rough cut done, but I still have to shoot one more scene for superimposing. That'll be in a few weeks. It'll be done by the end of this month. Thanks for the interest, man! I'm hoping to get my reel started with this.
Fantastic. I'm assuming it's a short since you shot it in a day? When do you expect to complete post? What are you doing with it?
An idea - Allowing Cinefile members to post their resumes?
Scripts up the wazoo; shorts for film festivals, an outline somebody wants turned into a script, and my own feature. Everything's kinda swarming together in my head.
I'm writing a drama revolving around substance responsibility. Every time I turn my head, there's a movie that hints to alcoholism or specific drug abuses, such as the amazing Requiem for a Dream, but I have yet to see something that really teaches us about responsibility and limits. I'm having a bit of trouble getting started on Act 2, but I'm confident I'll push through today. Thanks for the interest, Mike!
Writing a script I believe in...
