When a colleague introduced me to Dario Argento's work about a year and a half ago, I was stunned at not only the visual mastery of Argento's work, but also the soundtracks. I just cannot get enough of the soundtracks to Deep Red and Suspiria, both arranged by Goblin, if I am not mistaken. Profondo Rosso amazes me continuously, perhaps because I have always been a fan of organ and synth in rock and roll. I think there is something much deeper and direct in soundtracks like these compared to modern soundtracks in similar genres. I am currently working on a screenplay which will be mystery, suspense based, and as I imagine what the music would be, I find a lot of inspiration in Argento's films.

Incredible Time-Lapse, Tilt-Shift Remix Of Rear Window, by Jeff Desom

Rear Window Remix

This is an astonishing video and if you're a fan of the film it makes it even more astonishing knowing how he put this together in such a beautiful, seamless remix of scenes from the amazing set Hitchcock had designed. This is a real treat. It's the best thing I've seen on Vimeo in a while.
