The nation's theater owners were asked today by the head of a major Hollywood studio to have healthier snacks at their concession stands in addition to their traditional offerings of candy, popcorn and soda.

The funny thing is for the last two years I have asked for fruit and water mellon every single time I went to a theatre... I thought maybe one day...

It's amazing to think how long something like this took to happen. Aside from the overwhelming concession prices, theatres have begun to limit their food to just popcorn and drinks anyway...
