True, I think the film would benefit from having first-person sequences to give the audience a palpable sense of anxiety. Mix it in with some creative angles to show Faith's smooth moves and you've got a nice action-smoothie.

I think you've got a point Marco. Now games are falling victim to what books, TV shows, short stories, comics, concepts, etc, have had to deal with for a while. Game's offer a unique opportunity to really play with the interactivity/entertainment ratio, but the big studios are far too concerned with making a quick buck off the name. I read an article recently about studios approaching Valve to make a Half-Life movie and one of their managers basically voiced that exact concern.

I actually tried this game out (though I only had about 10 minutes of actual gaming time). The first person point of view was pretty cool and I definitely digged the emphasis on the maneuvering rather than the actual shooting/attacking. I would help that a movie version would stick with the P.O.V. (at least for shot sequences) in order to stay true to the game.

Never played this but it looks interesting. I think where producers go wrong with video game based movies is that they fail to grasp the real atmosphere of the game, which actually is why most people are drawn to a particular game.

Exactly. I feel if Luc Besson was helming the film he could add his unique flair to the story as well as the stunts.

I freaking love Mirror's Edge, always thought it would make a great movie. The story was a bit weak but that can always and hopefully be fixed if ever made.

CANON T3i Has Arrived

From DP Review:

"Last month Canon unveiled the Rebel T3i (EOS 600D) upper entry-level DSLR. It continues to use the 18MP CMOS sensor seen in the Rebel T2i (550D) but gains a tilt and swivel 1,040k dot LCD monitor like the one offered on the more expensive 60D. It also gains the ability to remotely ...

Incredible Time-Lapse, Tilt-Shift Remix Of Rear Window, by Jeff Desom

Rear Window Remix

This is an astonishing video and if you're a fan of the film it makes it even more astonishing knowing how he put this together in such a beautiful, seamless remix of scenes from the amazing set Hitchcock had designed. This is a real treat. It's the best thing I've seen on Vimeo in a while.
