Announcement

Introducing Group 13 Productions

(Lewistown, PA)…Julie and Jason Ufema officially announce the formation of Group 13 Productions. Group 13 will utilize digital technology to create mainstream projects centered on the talent and locations available in Central Pennsylvania. “Advancements in technology over the past few years will allow us the opportunity to acquire equipment and staff within a manageable budget.” Says Ufema.

Currently, Group 13 is focusing their efforts on their first feature length film, CAVEAT. “The film’s production kick-off party, held on February 19th, was a complete success. Almost 100 people turned out to support the cast & crew and volunteer their services.” Says Julie.

To help defray costs, a Kickstarter campaign began. With the $17,000 goal in place, CAVEAT promises to make a million dollar movie on a shoestring budget. In addition to the Kickstarter campaign, the public is asked to support the film by lending their unique talents in any way possible.

Group 13 Productions has another script in development and plans to begin shooting a cooking web series designed to highlight local restaurant chefs and cuisine.

Jason Ufema, of Rich Coast Coffee, has long used his creative talent in all of his endeavors. It’s this creativity and strong business background that make him the perfect person to start a production company. “I look forward to not only utilizing my experience in marketing, but also getting involved in the producing and directing aspects of this business. Food, cooking, music and film have been a lifelong passion of mine and I look forward to involving these interests in many projects yet to come. The entertainment world isn’t built on features alone.” Says Jason.
Julie and Jason have known each other for more than a decade “Ever since the day we met, we’ve been dreaming of a way to collaborate on various creative ideas. With the formation of Group 13, we can now realize that dream,” says Julie.

To help your funding effort you should consider creating a crowd funding module here to promote it further. You'll find that inside your view/edit profile under the Networking and Promotional options.

Group 13 Productions Announces the filming of CAVEAT, the movie, premiering this fall, 2011

Lewsitown, PA – Group 13 Productions in association with American Original Pictures announces the beginning of production for the psychological thriller, CAVEAT, the first feature length film to be shot entirely in Mifflin County, PA. Several local businesses will provide services or filming locations including Rich Coast Coffee, JP Edward’s Bar & Grill and Media X Creative.

"We're so excited to get the community involved," says producer Julie Ufema, "This area deserves to have their talent and beauty brought to the big screen. CAVEAT is a full-length, feature film, based on the script written by Julie and Jason Ufema, directed by Isaac Williams. In this fictional, psychological thriller, five privileged sisters are forced to face a lifetime of resentment when returning home to claim their share of the family inheritance. With an ironclad will, the Patriarch of the family grants his heirs the fortune necessary to protect their financial future. But who will be left to protect them from themselves?

Starring Lindsay Goranson (Plague Town), Tabetha Ray (The Cemetery), Julie Ufema (The Road Killer), Taylor Nicholson (I Clean Up Your Grave), and Jason Vail (Liars Pendulum), CAVEAT will also highlight such local talents as Alan K. Peoples, Heather Howell O’Neill, Patricia Zannino, and John Xanthopoulos. CAVEAT will bring awareness to the filming community that central Pennsylvania is rich with picturesque scenery and the hard working people needed to bring a great story to life.
